Steve is an artist and traveller who has lived, worked and exhibited in several countries. These include the UK, USA, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Thailand, South Korea, Vietnam, Nepal, Cambodia and the Sudan.
He is an experimental realist painter and captures the ordinary events of everyday live, transforming them into something existential and evocative.
The art critic of the Birmingham Evening Post referred to them as “stills from continuing dramasâ€.
He was born in 1952, has a degree in Fine Art from Birmingham University and has been painting for over 40 years. His first one-man show was in Khartoum, the Sudan at the Hotel Excelsior in 1978.
Since then he has sold paintings and artwork to UB40, the Reggae pop group and exhibited with Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones in Amsterdam.
Whilst in the U.S.A for several years he produced large murals for Thundercloud Subs, a fast food chain, and then for the Fortress Recording Studio in London.
